Q: How much do tickets cost to attend Mindfulness Fest?
A: Attendance is free to all guests! The only purchases you would need to make are food from our food trucks, products from vendors, or to contribute to our charity raffle supporting Green Opportunities. Enjoy free workshops, music, yoga classes, massage, face painting, and more!

Q: Is Mindfulness Fest kid friendly?
A: YES! We have a fun-filled Little Naturalist Area facilitating children’s activities from noon until 5pm. Beyond the designated kids area, we host a Boffing Zone, a hooping field, a dance area in front of the live music, and much more! Please note that for seated meditation workshops, parents are asked to use their best judgement when bringing children to participate.

Q: Is Mindfulness Fest only for affiliates of the University?
A: Nope! Quite the opposite; Mindfulness Fest aims to bridge the gap between the knowledge shared within the campus of UNC Asheville and the abundance of wisdom in the community.

Q: What time does Mindfulness Fest start?
A: The opening ceremony will be held from 11:30am-noon, and will include a brief seated meditation, an introduction of the organizers, and a Qi Gong session led by Aaron Dison of Dragon Pheonix Kung Fu. Workshops, yoga classes, vending, music, and an abundance of other activities will commence at noon following the opening ceremony.

Q: How many of your vendors are local businesses/nonprofits?
A: All 20+ of them!

Q: What food will be offered?
A: This year we have the pleasure of hosting The Real Food Truck and Cecilia’s Kitchen. They source ethically, locally, and organically whenever possible, and distribute only compostable utensils. Both trucks host amazing vegetarian options!

Q: Where do I park?
A: Visitors may park in any lot UNC Asheville’s campus, which can be viewed using this map. The event takes place on and in the buildings surrounding the Quad (G15).
